Problem with door closing
Problem with door closing
Hi all, new to this and not sure if posting in the right place. I live in Northern Ireland and have recently bought a 2022 wildtrack. The problem is you need to slam the doors to get them to close, I have discovered that it’s got nothing to do with adjustment because if there is a window down or another door open they close easily which points to cabin pressure issue. I have tried other ranger doors and they don’t have this problem. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. Many thanks Gary

We can't get your version here in North America but this is a fairly universal issue for any air tight vehicle
Vehicle is new so all the door gaskets and seals are working well, lol, but certainly an inconvenience
Closing the door slowly and then pushing it close will work
Throwing the door closed is what causes the higher air pressure in the cabin that prevents the door from closing all the way, which is why opening a window solves the problem, air pressure has a way out to equalize
Try selecting VENT on the climate control before exiting, that should open the outside air vent and allow air to escape that way, just as a test
The doors have drain holes at the bottom and these can allow air out but the door panels are probably sealed tight so air in the cabin can't get out that way, that will change over time
