Tire size question
Diameter and width is what matters so use those not the metric numbers
285/60R18 is
31.5" diameter
11.2" width
Get the diameter and width of your current tires
The front is the big deal because they need to turn and not hit the frame or body panels
Have someone turn the tires while you watch and see when they are closest to fender and frame, stop at those points and measure the distance/clearance
Diameter is 1/2
Meaning the difference between a 29" diameter tire and 31.5" diameter tire is 1.5" but..............the clearance needed is 1/2 that, only 3/4" difference at the thread/edge of tire
Width is the same, if current tire is 10.2" then 1" more width, so 1/2" extra clearance needed
The reason YOU need to do this is because ALL vehicles are slightly different even in the same model with same options
And I would imagine a 31.5" diameter tire is over stock tire diameter, so over "what fits", car makers leave extra room BECAUSE not all suspension/clearances are equal when they come off the assembly line
