Hello, new guy here. My sons 2000 Ranger 4.0L 4x2 had a small fire on top of the motor due to squirrels building a nest. We are now looking for some parts to replace the ones that melted. My question is, which other model years could we get these parts from? We need the motor wiring harness, intake manifold, coil pak and wires, throttle cable.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

1999/2000 are about it

Earlier used the 3 wire Cam sensor, 1999/2000 used 2 wire, with different hook ups to computer as well

1995 to 1998 4.0l might be doable but without the old harness for comparison it would be difficult
1994 and earlier used a different computer

2001 and up used 4.0l SOHC engine, which was totally different than your 2000 4.0l OHV as far as wiring
