4.0 OHV diagrams needed
4.0 OHV diagrams needed
I am tearing down my '99 engine to do a swap and have to switch intakes because my truck is EGR & donor is non EGR. My problem is I don't have diagrams/photos to show what fuel lines & other hoses go where or what exactly I need to unfasten to remove intake. I have a Chiltons & Haynes. Haynes does not have diagrams for this. Chiltons has only a diagram for SOHC. Never tore down an engine before so I definitely need labeled pics or a good diagram. Spent over 30 minutes trying to find one with Google and only pull up SOHC.
1999 will only have 1 fuel line
Vacuum lines should be labelled as you go and take A LOT of pictures, they are free
Wiring is pretty straight forward as the harness lays out a certain way and plugs are different so they only reach certain plugs
Best bet is the Ford Shop manual set for 1999 Ranger, as seen here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/28432738166...gAAOSweIxgwaw1
Or the CD set can also be found a bit cheaper, but you need to print off the pages you need
These are basically free since you can use them and then sell them for what you paid, they are always in demand
Other resource is local library, they will have an on-line Auto Repair link that you can access and download any diagrams or How-tos you need
Just need a library card and pin which is usually free if you bring in an electric bill with address in that libraries area
