I wish I could say "I can get a vid" but I cant. This was in 05 when my friends truck was stock and mine was stock. Now I have 33s, and he has a chip, turbo, exhaulst, Water inj, pistons, head work, ect ect ect. He wastes me now.

A "STOCK" Diesel is NOT fast

Exhaulst and Chip a Diesel comes alive. But it still isn't fast. I raced a 03 cummins with chip and exhaulst and we where side x side till about 60MPH. Now if he did a 4wd start with boost he would leap ahead pretty fast.
we know theres a ****ing difference

and im still saying a newer ranger has no chance.. even with the SOHC

I have an 02. Same SOHC as an 06. No difference there and I can't keep up with a diesel

Give me one stock diesel that is not quick off the line? Seems to me they're all pretty decent off the line, at least all the stock diesel's I've had the chance to drive.

If they build boost in 4wd yes, Boost and 2wd no, no boost no

Powerstroke and the international are the same. a 7.3L Powerstroke is the T444E made by Navistar, same company as International. Don't know the model numbers for the 6.0 or the 6.4L, but they're both made by Navistar.

Detroit is the manufacturer of the D-max. So, in essence, there are only 3 producers of light duty diesel's, Cummins, Navistar, and the Duramax.

For the record, I've raced a stock PSD, a chipped (with the chip off) Cummins, and a stock Duramax, all of which beat me

Isuzu is the manufacturer of the Duramax and a stock 06+ D-max will run 14.6 quarter mile times...One with a tuner will burn off 13.9's...Thats hauling.

Thank you on that correction. I had mis-spoken on that. I had head once it was Detroit, but found out last night after I posted it that it was Isuzu.

I have seen the D-Max run a 14.6 at altitude, however they can't tow worth a damn. Buddy of mine has an 06 D-Max, regrets getting it, but isn't about to trade it just yet. Traded a straight piped '00 Z71 Tahoe on it.

Found on thedieselplace.com

"All generations of the duramax are capable of running 12s with tuning alone."

Im looking for stock times. I know a diesel comes alive with mods, I stated that above.

"8.577@78.53mph 1/8 and 13.650@95.03mph 1/4. Truck picked up more than a second and a half over stock"

So with that saying a stocker goes above 15.1

I just did a quick google search. I couldn't find any real time slips, but most said with a Edge juice on level 3 where getting high 16s to low 17s in the quarter.
