my 2006 fx4 automatic has gotten up to 23mpg basicly all highway, i usually average about 20mpg combined driving. basicly all stock. oddly enough, i'd still like to get better, i've been thinking about buying a programmer, and a nice (dry type) cold air intake.

FYI: i usually drive pretty nice. in the winter i report as low a 16mpg.

I got 16 on this tank. I was working under the truck last week and had the ebrake set... Pulled the wheels today and found a broken spring and a stuck ebrake cable. Now we'll see if my mileage returns to 22

Inflated the tires to 36 up front and 32 in the back
Why?? I inflate my tires all to 36 or 37 psi. Also, when I had my 04 4*4 lease ext. cab stock I calculated the mileage and didn't get over 20 mpg and that was mainly highway conservatively driving.

The higher the tire pressure the stiffer the ride. I usually don't haul anything so I use less in the rear.

I get that kind of milage.

Mines a 06 FX4, auto tranny, stock tires, AC on all the time, and 4.10 gears. (mods on my web page)

Over the last two months I've been back and forth between Tenn and Mi about 4 times as well as local driving. Driving *easy* but yet running 70-72mph on the interstate, and 45-55 local, I've seen as low as 20.0 and a high of 21.75

I have noticed that 65mph vs 70mph make a significant difference too. (scanguage instant mpg readings)
