Icon9 I'm really in help on the PCM!!

Ok. I have 2003 PCM from a Ford Ranger 4.0 and I also have a 2001 Ford Explorer 4.0 motor wiring harness.
I have rewire the 2001 wiring harness to the 2003 PCM. The trouble am having is one wire to the PCM it is

__________________________________________________ _

82 ---------- 1017 (BK/WH) ------------ Check cap indicator lamp
__________________________________________________ _

Then it runs to the C110 black plug to the motor wiring harness to.

40 ------- 911 (WH/LG)
__________________________________________________

41 ------- 1017 (BK/WH) ----------- Check cap indicator lamp
__________________________________________________

42 ----------- J37

But the 2001 Ford Explorer wiring harness don’t have that wire and the C110 Plug for the motor wiring harness.
Don’t have that wire. So does have this instead.

40 -------------- 911 (WH/LG)
__________________________________________________ ___________

41 ------------ 904 (LG/RD) ---------------- "Generator/Battery indicator, control"
----- OR ----
1017 (BK/WH)

__________________________________________________ ____________

42 ---------------- 36 (YE/WH) ------ "1 Voltage supplied at all times (overload protected)"
__________________________________________________ ____________________

And I have C102a or b plug to the Generator

__________________________________________________ __________________

1 ---------------- 36 (YE/WH) ------ "1 Voltage supplied at all times (overload protected)"
__________________________________________________ __________________

2 -------------------------- Not Used
__________________________________________________ __________________

3 --------------------------------- 904 (LG/RD) ---------------- "Generator/Battery indicator, control"
__________________________________________________ ________________________

I hope you all can umderstand what i am trying to tell you.So there is my problem am having what should
I do for the ‘1017 (BK/WH) wire’ for the ‘
Check cap indicator lamp’ ?
Like I said the 2001 Ford Explorer wiring harness doesn’t have Check cap indicator lamp wire in it at all…

You don't need the gas cap off light wire, PCM would turn that on if EVAP set "gross leak" code, which "could mean" gas cap was left off, wouldn't cause a running issue.

On the alternator there will be a 2 or 3 wire connector, that's for the voltage regulator inside it
Yellow or yellow/white wire should have battery voltage full time, in 2001 or 2003 that should be thru Fusible links
The Green/red wire should only have voltage with key on, its from the Battery Light circuit on dash
3rd While wire is just a jumper, if so equipped

No, shouldn't throw a code if its not hooked up, same as if bulb burnt out, and never heard of that causing a code to be set
