Missing Hoses? Air Intake hose, Valve Cover Passenger side.
2001 Ranger 4.0 SOHC
Ok I have been plagued with a stalling idle, i can rev the RPMs (in park) to 3K it will cut out go back to 2K RPM. After a minute the truck will slowly die down the RPMs to 0 and die. I am going thru hoses and noticed there is a large hole where I would assume a hose connects to the air intake hose. I also see a hole in the passenger side valve cover where I would assume another hose would go. I am trying to hunt down a diagram and cannot find one in the Chilton book. Any ideas if I am missing a hose or a few? If so, do you smart techs know what they are called? I assume I may have disconnected these months ago and didn't note it. Forgive me if I don't use the proper terminology. Thank you for your time.
(update I believe its some type of breather hose that I saw on a youtube video but looking at rockauto I can't find this part.)

Have here same year+version of V6~4.0L~SOHC Engine.
In 1st pic above, you're missing the 5/8"ID PCV PlasticTube+HoseElbow from RightValveCover to AirIntakeAccordian;
don't have the Ford part number, but you can simply replace it with local parts store ByTheFoot 5/8"ID HeaterHose & a Male~MaleBarb.
I've added spring clamps on that hose+tube; it tended to work itself loose without them.
In 2nd pic above, that's the EVAP system VacSupply hose; don't recall the Inch\MilliMeterID size, but just measure it;
looks like the stock Male~MaleBarb & about a foot of Hose is missing, to barb behind EGRValve on left side of IntakeManifold throat;
again can pick up what you need from stock items at your local parts store.
With missing\loose hoses, what OBD2 TroubleCodes do you have, likely several?
Hope this helps.

Thank you Dillard!!!!!! You are a life saver. Truck is purrrrring. If I could buy you a beer I would. In park when I rev the motor up to 3k RPM it cuts and won't go above 3k rpm but doesn't drop to 2k RPM now that everything is connected......and I haven't gone down to the auto part store yet the truck couldn't make it to pull the codes which I will today. Again thank you so much Dillard.....
