Need help identifying this part?
Its the 4.0l OHV, 1990 to 2000 Rangers, 2001 and up used the 4.0l SOHC
I have taken my 1994 4.0l OHV apart many times, lol, some times needed but just to do it other times, and never seen anything like that
May have been left there during previous work, is there a part number on it anywhere, there will be if its a Ford Part

I appreciate it RonD... there are no identifying numbers on it so I suppose I’ll just chalk it up as left from previous work. I’m sure if it’s something important it’ll let me know one way or another lol.
There you go, those pesky "extra parts", lol
Its not uncommon for mechanics to stick an extra part on the new guys work bench to get a laugh watching him try to figure out where it goes or came from on the vehicle he's working on.
