From the factory my 4.0 OHV was quick. (reg cab). And with 31s and 4.10 it was also quick. But now that I'm on 33's and 4.10s, forget it. I want a 4.3 ratio, a chip, and a locker as bad as I want some premium p*ssy.

yea as soon as i did the 33s and 4:10s it was a dog. I kept meaning to get some dead tires and put them under the ranger with the 5.13s and just roasssttt them.

today i had a friend of mine in my truck and i figured i could show him what the 4.0 can do he admitted its faster than his intergra and it was good pluse it drifts better dose better burnouts and can do breakstands over all he said it was a nice lil engine

yea me too, I've driven a few Mazda 2300s and rangers with the 2.3 and those things are gutless wonders.

Yeah they are pretty peppy in stock form for a truck.

Add some rubber to the mix and it sucks.

I've Raced 5.7L Tahoe's and I beat those by about 2-3 car lengths.

I put half a car length on an 08' harely f-150 with the n/a 5.4L a solid 2 car lengths on an 07' ram 1500 and my buddy's 03' chevy 2500 6.0L was just funny (probably 3-4 bus lengths)

all with my bone stock 5 speed 4.0L 4x4

Ditto, My OHV with 3.73's and heavy toyo 33's...im pretty sure my grandma on a bicycle would beat me. Also it chugs the fuel. If the switch to 4.56's doesn't increase both I'm tempted to sell my truck haha
