6.0 Powerstroke in a ranger
Turns out the transmission is not getting power to the solenoids. Probably a grounding issue. Its been struck in 5th gear without the tc locked up. Imagine waht its gonna feel like in first, second third, and fourth if 5th gear felt strong. LOL
I thought it seemed like it was stuck in a high gear from the video. Seemed like there was a lot of converter slip and not all that much go fast. lol fifth gear would explain it though, can't wait to see it run through the gears. Good luck figuring out the issue.
Made some progress today. I have power to the Tranny, and its grounded, but it won't do anything other than park, R, N, and 5th. I am gonna have that fixed ASAP. I had a bad alternator the first time, but as you can see, its fixed.

Also moved the Glow plug module to the firewall, to clean up the swpace where it set. And Yes, I know there is a nut missing. LOL

Sounds like extra tires will be a great idea.
I got the tranny figured out, and shouldn't be too hard of a fix. Hopefully by Monday night, I will be doing burnouts. The CAN feature of the PCM is losing a signal. When it does, the engine and tranny don't talk to each other, so it shuts off all of the solenoids, (its an electric solenoid tranny) except the ones for P, R, N and 5th gear. No matter what gear you select, 1,2,3, or D, it see's the signal, but only gives you 5th. I need to figure out why its losing a signal, and get that fixed. If I thought it pinned me in the seat in 5th, I can't imagine what the lower gears are gonna feel like.
Well after fixing the transmission today, and taking a little ride down a side street by the shop, I can officially say the ranger works in all gears now, and given the fact that I am not 100% sure that the front wheels were on the ground the whole time, I might have some steering issues. Thats fuel only on a street tune BTW. Yeah, its ****** sick. Turns out the PCM was bad, and it was doing exactly what it was supposed to do. It makes 20 PSI in park revving to 2500 RPM's. The boost gauge on the street looks like its got a bottle rocket attached to it. Buttoning up a few last minute details,a nd shakedown passes will commence right after the new PCM gets here. April 10th in Dallas, will be exhibition only, shakedown passes.
Michael saw that my HPOP gauge did not match, so Isspro sent out a HPOP that has a white face to match the rest of my white gauges. Thanks a bunch.

Also Dan from Rev-x, sent me a message a while back and wanted to sponsor Deranged. Today they sealed the deal with some financial help, and products. For the 6.0, the Rev-x is amazing. I used it 6 months ago, long before any talk of sponsorship, along with 9 other guys to test its help with 6.0 sticking injectors. ALL 9 came back with excellent results. Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.
