6.0 Powerstroke in a ranger
When are you coming into town? I'll be there next week for Diesel Power Challenge but can't stay for TS, unfortunately (have to fly back to CA on Friday)... If you'll be in town early I'd love to check it out.
Right on! We'll be sled pulling somewhere on Thursday but I'll have to make it a point to look you up that evening.
Small problem. Actually large problem. We made a little gunk up in Ennis and clogged the IPR, (Injection pressure regulator) but wasn't sure what it was on the screen. Pulled the IPR last week, and found what looked like metal shavings in the screen. Put in another IPR right before the track, and it ran for 45 seconds and died. Pulled it out, and the screen was completely full of copper. Pulled the oil filter like every other time, and ran it over a towel. It looked like a christmas tree. Looks like it ate a bearing. I am thinking the original gunk was the Polydyn coating on the bearings. IT will not have that coating when it gets put back together. It sucks, but it is what it is. I'll get it back up as soon as I can. I just don't have a lot of time right now with Family obligations.
