Icon4 NEED HELP!!! need to install new Cd player

I currently have the CD-6 system in my 01 Edge. The volume **** won't turn the volume down. So, I have decided to replace the piece of junk. Here's the problem: I have absolutely no idea how to remove the CD-6 system. If someone could help me get started on removing the thing I know I can get the new one in.

Thanks

Its easy, right above the HVAC panel is 2 7mm screws, remove those and take the whole bezel off. Then just push in the 2 metal pieces holding the radio in at the sides and slide the radio out the front. Make sure to unplug the wiring harness and antenna too. Or you could go to any auto parts store and get the ford radio removal tools but I find this way easier and free.

you can do that or if you can find a place that sells the radio removal tool to get it out......either way works though.

Let me be the first to say that you can go to any place that sells radios and for about $5 you can get factory radio removal tools that you can use to pull the radio out.

fords are a pain to get out. just remove the screws and popout the bezel grab a flat blade and push the clips and ur done. 20 seconds literally it takes me, drill and flat head. i also professionally install so that helps
