New Speakers/Pioneer 6x8 4-way on clearance at Best Buy

Just wanted to let everybody know there's a good deal going on the Pioneer TS-A6882R 4-way 280w/50w 6x8 speakers at Best Buy...they were $59.99/pair on clearance regularly over $100. For comparison the Pioneer TS-A6872R 240w/40w 3 way is on sale for $72.89 at Best Buy, and is on sale for $56.86 at Wal-Mart.

My new Pioneers replaced a pair of small, round "Audiolatina" speakers that were hanging by 1 screw in the left door and 2 screws in the right door (lol @ previous owner...). I think pretty much any 6x8 speaker would be a huge upgrade from what was in there before...I had no idea the radio could sound so good lol. Here are some pictures...

I doubt this is the same for every Best Buy, its probably only your local one that had overstock. I wish mine had them on sale, I need some for the 150.

I had these for over 2 years and they sounded fantastic. Great stock replacements.

Nice deal. now amp them! seems nobody amps their speakers. your missing out on soooo much sound quality without an amp. My Infinity reference sounded like crap running off of the factory HU and my Alpine HU, they only started to sound good when I fed them 40 watts RMS then I fed them 100 and they sound awsome. I believe they are only rated for 60 rms 180 max so don't be afraid to buy a strong amp you can turn the gain down to compensate.

my references sound fine I dont run any bass to them. Thats the job of my sub I just use them to have a lot of clarity and they are still really loud

its hard to find just 2 ways, I'm already running tweeters with crossovers so I just need the 6x8s for mid and bass...

same ones i have in all 4 corners, i have them amped and they sound good, im just a lil frustrated i bought the second pair cuz you dont get much from the sh!tty location of em in a std cab..... debating on what i wanna do with em, i am sound deadening the entire cab next so the might even sound that much better.
