Welcome to the forum

I assume 4WD and 4low specifically was working OK before the transmission swap?

Does the 4WD light show 4Low?
Do the 4WD lights flash when you try to select 4High and shift motor doesn't move?
Flashing 4WD lights is the GEM telling driver there is an issue in 4WD system

If your swap wiring allowed for the 4x4 controller(GEM) to put transfer case into 4low then there would be no reason, electrically, for it not to return to 4high or 2WD
So it could be the mechanical STOP in the transfer case shift motor got wedged too tight and now it can't be released

Or there is a problem with a ground in Dual Relay box behind GEM so shift motor can only turn counter-clockwise
The shift motor has 2 "motor" wires, BOTH should show as Grounds when shift motor is not being used, key on
You can test for that
Shift motor is the same as power window motor, 12volt DC motor, motor turns one way with 12v/ground, and then turns the opposite way with ground/12v on its 2 wires, i.e. window up and window down
The way they all work is that BOTH wires at the motor are grounded when not in use
Then the 4x4 controller(or door switch) only needs to activate ONE relay to change ONE wire from Ground to 12volts, because the other wire is already a ground

I would pull off the shift motor and plug it back in, then try the **** to shift out of 4low to see if the motor is jammed or non-functioning, or something is wrong inside transfer case
But you can use pliers to manually shift transfer case out of 4low at that time if possible
Try to be on flat ground and block at least one tire, transmission in neutral

Good read here on whats inside the shift motor: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...e-shift-motor/
Shows transfer case shift rod, pointed at 2WD in picture
And shows damaged STOP if motor turns too far
