No cruise after changing tranny to a manual

Figured i should post this over here too... Calling anyone who has done an auto to manual swap. I am currently using a modded auto harness and the stock auto computer with a tune to ignore the tranny. I'm having side effects to doing this, that is, no cruise control. Has anyone done this successfully and still had cruise control? I know there is always the swap to a manual harness and PCM but I don't wanna buy those parts and a new performance tune if I don't have to. Please chime in if uve got the fix or any ideas on how to many get it all to work. Thanks guys.

The manual truck uses the Clutch Pedal Position switch to determine if the cruise is canceled or not. Does your conversion have one?

im pretty sure the issue is the fact that ive got it wired to think it's in park or neutral so that it starts... could that be the problem?

Just finished one as well, except no tune. I still have the auto pcm and harness, and just plugged the range selector off the side of the auto trans into the harness, but put it in the neutral position. All of my stuff works, but my check engine light is on due to no trans hooked up to the other end of the harness.

Do you have a rev limiter that's limited to 3,000? I know i had that issue with a local auto to manual swap....just had the DTR in neutral. lol.

okay i think i figured it out, i need to connect the 463 R/W wire on the trans harness to ground to give it neutral sense. then it should work, hopefully lol

I have no rev limiter on mine, and as i said i have the range selector in neutral. Is it possible that the rev limiter did not exist in older trucks.

The 3K neutral rev limiter for the autos was added around 2000/2001.
