Not going in gear

Hey guys, my truck's not going into gear sometimes even when the stick is all the way in 1st. I can put it in any other gear and it does the same thing. It's like I'm still in neutral, because I let the clutch out and nothing happens. Eventually it will slam in after I mess with it enough. It's only happened like 4 or 5 times in the last year, and only after sitting overnight. Any ideas what that is? My truck is a 2001 4.0 4x4 with a transmission that was rebuilt about a year ago

"Mess with it", like what

Could be transfer case issue, it has Neutral, try shifting into 4high or 4 low when this happens

Wouldn't think clutch issue from description, since you didn't mention pedal felling funny when it happens, i.e. master not releasing pressure

Also not transmission issue since it effects all 3 shift rails, 1/2, 3/4, 5/R

Mess with it like put it in different gears, rev it a little, and move the clutch pedal in and out.

Alright I'll try putting it in 4 high or low next time.

Yeah the pedal feels normal. It's maybe harder to get in gear than normal, but it's always a little hard to get in gear.
