Anyone have a good picture of them done?
Dont have to be 06, the 05 and older will work too, just need a good visual representation.

I'd like to do mine soon, i like the smoke look better.

Do i just put masking tape over the reverse light? or what?

 

I masked off my reverse light when I did mine, do you want just the 06 tails or the 01 tails too?

You can see my avatar, I did about 3-4 coats on mine and then cleared them. Masked the reverse light off.

 

id just paint the whole thing but thats me .... i think youre less likely to get pulled over if you mask the reverse though, they look more stockish haha

 

Yeah painting the whole thing also runs what little light the stock gives out.

 

i dont want them like pitch black, just dark like the smoke tint

I don't have pics of mine as they aren't yet sprayed, but masking the reverse lamp is really really easy to do. use 3" tape, cover it all, then take an exacto knife and there's a groove in the factory lense that you can use to trace...
