Razorsedge's SAS

Finally starting to get all the parts. Still need power steering parts, steering shaft, steering box - should be getting in a couple of days, couple of brackets. Gotta borrow some big jack stands from my dad's shop, and also gotta borrow his compressor so I can start tearing the RCD off in the next few days. Not many pics yet but there will be more to come.

Thanks to Evan for the main parts.

To bad you weren't located in the northern US so I could drive down and buy your front end suspension components off you!

I dunno man lol. I never snapped an axle on the IFS with a locker in it so we'll see. Thats just another reason to trailer the ranger to the spots now lol.

Couple things I would recommend...

weld that back side of that coil mount.
get new rubber bushings in all of those arms, whether they look worn or not. just do it.
set that caster at 4-5 degrees positive (that is upper balljoint further back than the lower)
I'd recommend some new shocks but this will at least get it rolling.

let me know if you have any questions, you can really make that setup work well.

that tru-trac will treat those shafts well.

I haven't fully planned on even using the sway bar, itll be the last thing to go on if I decide I need it. I figured the diff was empty, but thats ok I wanted to check out the gears and Detroit anyway.

Planned on welding the coil mounts, since they're out anyway why not. I'll look into the rubber bushings and setting the caster, was curious about setting the caster. I'll finally get to put my angle finder to use lol. As for the shocks, I'll have to check the lengths but I plan to use the Bilstein 5150s I have in the attic.

Got another part in today as well. Toyota steering shaft.

Turns out the Bilstein 5150s I had collecting dust in the attic are the same length as the old procomps, so I'll be using those.

Should start tearing the lift kit out tomorrow if time and work permit. If not I'll definitely get started this weekend.
