Just bought what I thought was a level 2. 2006. It’s a auto 4.0 with bench seat
grey interior. Bought it on line and ad looked like level 2 but I’m not sure!
can somebody help me please?

Welcome to the forum

Go here: Auto-Brochures.com|Ford Car & Truck PDF Sales Brochure/Catalog/Flyer/Info Aerostar Bronco Bronco II C-Max Contour Crown Victoria E-Series Econoline Edge Elite Escape Escort Excursion Expedition Explorer Explorer Sport F-150 F-250 F-350 F-450 Festiva

Scroll down and download the 2006 Ford Ranger brochure
It will tell you all the stock features of the Level II and some options

Page 6 has a black dot for the standard features on the Level II

Manual trans was standard, but automatic was an option

It shows that it should have bucket seats??
I don't see 60/40 bench seats as an option, although the FX4 off-road did come with that

Also look at the drivers door label, under AXLE it should have a letter and a number, what are they?

R8 was used for Torsen 4.10 limited slip(2002 and up) which was only available on the Level II models, R7 would be regular Ford 4.10 axle, like in a FX4
Two numbers like 96 or 97 would be OPEN axle so not even close to Level II

It was not!!

Checked door for axel number showed 4:10
it was not a level 2 just a fx4 went to bat with this info and got a full refund. The dealer was honest and did not really know the difference
close call!!!!
