98 Ranger heat only! HELP!

I bought a 98 Ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 X motor. Here's the issue, it switches from vent to defrost, to floor BUT no matter where I put the temp dial it's HOT only!?? Heater control valve? Engine runs normal temp. Counting on you guys!!
I just got rid of my 04 F-150 5.4 3-V nightmare and came back to Rangers! Thanks in advance, Kenny. kennyy1@yahoo.com

Im thinking blend door. There were two styles mine has two steel cables that physically move the door when you turn the **** the new style is electric i believe and that one is far more likely to fail but those steel cables can come lose from the door itself so it doesn't move id start looking there first. First step would be to pull radio bezel and determine which style you have.

It's probably the blend door. I've got the same problem. I can get ALL HOT or ALL COLD, and it's a pain to switch from one to the other. My guess is the servo motor that controls the blend door is busted or barely functioning.
