This is on a 1986 ranger 2.9 next to the passenger side firewall. I’m having issues with this truck running rich at idle and am wondering if the broken wire on this has something to do with it.

 

Looks like an unused connector, just has a plastic plug in it

I have a 4 wire connector that wasn't used with a plastic connector like that, it was for automatic trans, my Ranger was manual trans

It could be for AC WOT relay, if you don't have AC
