I'm pretty sure you could replace it with the cubby hole.

Those cubbys are pretty small. Mine was just big enough for a single gauge.

theres plenty of people who have modded xploder consoles to work with stick, you just lose the cup holders i think. what do you guys with xconsoles do about the passenger airbag swithc though?

I think it was an option. My '99 had the ashtray.. my '03 didn't.. Although I did have this funky little ashtray insert for the cup holders. I use it for holding screws and stuff while I'm working under the dash.

So basically it'd cost me an arm and a leg to get an ex console made for a stick? I kinda like my bench seat though...

no you can take a standard one, and remove the cubby hole part and use a shifter boot to fill the hole

no if you have a bench you remove the arm rest, then cut the pipe bracket and remove the extra foam them fold the fabric underneath remove extra then sew it up and you cant tell the difference

This is where I monunted my CB.

There is a metal bracket that came with the CB. I screwed that to the side of the center console and attached the CB there. The way I attached the CB, the numbers are upside down, I'll turn it around one day. I like this place because it is out of the way of my legs and not far out of reach.

That's a pretty nice spot. Problem is that the manual floor console is a little different so the metal bracket won't mount quite the same.

About the cubby hole, I didn't know it was so small!! because my truck came with an ashtray as a standard factory equipped and I don't smoke!!! And also In the hole I find it plenty of room for hollow stuff, for exaple, my key for oem locking gas cap, gum, pen,air check, etc... lol
