Article about OPEC and their resemblance to a cartel.

I HIGHLY ADVISE READING THIS. (It's only 2 pages)

Sidenote rant against news agencies: If I hear one more thing about Elliot-I luv me some whoooores-Spitzer, I'm going to implode.

3.29 here in Pittsburgh, I really miss my 01 Hyundai Accent now. I got 40 MPG driving like an idiot. I have a 38 mile round trip to school and back four days a week. luckly I only live 1 1/2 from work. (which i'm only working less then 15 hours a week right now ). and it cost me about $46 right now to fill my 2.3l Ranger. which mean's it may get the "for sale" mod soon. I want to get another 4cyl Hyundai. prohibably an Elentra this time. I love my truck and I really don't want to get rid of it right now... but I can't afford it, and this is coming from a 4cyl truck owner

What I can do is transfer to a closer store from home and ride my bike but only if I trust the intersection in my way.

My only advice is to suck it up. Reguardless of prices, you gotta get gas anyway and go somewhere, especially traveling distances to work. You got mouths to feed.

It's $ 3.75 a gallon for the cheap stuff here in Ohio. I'm glad I don't have to drive much. I only use about a tankful a month, so a fill up now costs me around $37 vrs $30 before. So it's not the end of the world for me.

put yourself into a higher income bracket

granted you'll be paying higher taxes, the higher amount of disposable income won't make the cost of gas, food, or expenses affect your lifestyle or interests at all

but for the OP: gas was $3.55 last week, and in the low $3.6X.xx this week for me

I went from a '91 2WD, auto/3.0 ranger (15mpg) to a '97 4WD 2.7/stick Tacoma (21mpg) to save on gas, but lucked out since Toyota offered to buy my Tacoma for 1.5x KBB "excellent" condition, and got a corolla instead (30mpg)

x2

a tank of gas normally lasts me a month, but i have a bigger tank and it takes me about $70 to fill up my truck if its on E, gas here is also at $3.75 for reg.

i need to get a new o2 sensor, mine is bad and its causing me to get crappy gas mileage.

btw, speaking of gas, i had taco bell today.

$3.85 or $3.89 depending where you are in my area of Wisconsin for the cheap stuff. Did find $3.79 today so I filled up there. Truck does not go below half a tank anymore because I don't want to pay all that money to fill up.

i use to fill up at half a tank then i figured i was wasting more gas going to the gas station to fill up twice a week then i was just going once and filling it up at E

just paid $3.58 a gallon....pumped 19.7 gallons into the tank....I got 250miles on that tank. Not bad for a 3.0 with 4.10's 35's and no tuner...and that was all In-town
