Warning to CA residents; the gas cap is considered an emissions device. If you replace it with a non-CARB approved locking cap, you could fail a smog test.

I just filled up yesterday for 2.67 with 87 octane. I drove around to find that one. Now everything is around 3.20ish. I'm stoked. But I'm still not driving anywhere.

It's a helluva lot easier to prove someone stole a car than it is to prove they stole some gasoline. The last time I checked, gasonline didn't come w/ a VIN number.

From what I'm hearing on the nightly news, gasoline is starting to be a very valuable commodity.

That book cover has a helluva lot of truth to it. And I know it's comming, there's no alternative. The question is, can our society cope. I hope (and believe) it can, but it will result in one heckuva change in our lifestyles. Which is something I don't look forward to. "The Party's Over" Lots of truth in that. Investing in alternative energy technology TODAY would help deaden the impact of oil scarcity tomorrow..

They were only available through Fleet sales, meaning you basically had to be the government to get one. Although I heard some very persistant (and wealthy) people managed to get one, but then only in southern California. Even then, they were pretty weak. They had a capacity less than the base Ranger XL w/ the 4-banger, had absoloutely horrible performance, and topped out at something like 45 MPH.. Not to mention they had a very poor range of less than 100 miles. One interesting thing is they were FWD!

In short, they blew..

Besides, where do you think the electricity to power them came from?
