Help! 05 FX4 Left Me Stranded, Won't Start!!

I left my office to get lunch, truck was fine. Pulled up at Burger King, got out and went in to get some food. Came back out put the key in, and nothing. Just clicking/buzzing noises from the passenger kick panel junction box. When I turn the key nothing happens, no chime, nothing. When I try to roll up the windows, it barely moves a centimeter and then starts buzzing at the kick panel. Battery volts are fine, checked it with a multimeter. So it has to be something at that box. I left it at Burger King and had someone pick me up. Anyone have any ideas!!??

EDIT*** When I say the battery volts are fine, I mean that when checked with a multimeter it reads 12.something volts. Could the batter still be bad?

Did you try cleaning the terminals and hooking the battery back up?

Battery was bad. The voltage checked out fine, and the green ball was showing in the clear glass, however, the battery was still bad. I took it out and went up to Advanced Auto and had it checked. I replaced it and it runs fine. Just goes to show you those little indicators mean nothing! I hope this battery lasts more than 4-5 years.

5-7 years is usually the standard for batteries. Motorcraft batteries are usually pretty good though, depends on the use. I would wonder if something is draining on it.

I was just about to say that. Mine did the exact same thing, worked great one minute then the next it was totally dead.

I pulled the original battery out of my 05 and replaced it with an Optima. I think my efan wouldve killed it. Ive drained batteries and they couldnt hold a full charge after that, deep cycle optima solved that :)

Average battery life in vegas is about 27 months. It's rediculous.

Never heard of Interstate Megatron II's. Sounds cartoonish.

Interstate Megatrons are great batteries. You need amperage to start your truck not voltage.

never had a problem with my battery, but when i had my 89 sundance i knew the tranny was going, but i drove across the street from work to the grocery store, parked it, went in got food and came back out fired up the car and nothing.... damn blown tranny... sat there ate food waited for it to cool down, still wouldnt move... okie dokie then.. grabbed the crap i needed for work and walked.

my starter in my ranger did a similiar thing, one time it would be good, drive to town or something park it and go into a store come out damn thing wouldnt start.. one day i had to beat on the starter and it still didnt work so i had to bomb start it in a flat parking lot... was not fun!!
