How long do you plan to keep your ranger?

For the near future. My 2009 is paid off (WOOOT ALL MINE!!) so its not going anywhere right now. I would get rid of it if
- I got a company car.
- It got totalled (it happened once already to the other one)
- I really needed money in a bad bad way. (then id probably just buy an older, cheaper one)
If the plans in the next 3 years happen right then ill buy a house and even if i get a company car, ill probably keep the truck around in the backyard or something for weekend runs or if the company car isnt an F150 (it would be an F150, an Escape or a Fusion). Id still want a truck around.

Probably until the motor goes, then ill just drop another 4.0 in its place; if i don't go this route then I'm probably going to upgrade to an f-150 later. i have 5 more years on the truck. by that time ill probably have about 130k on it when its paid off (unless i can get it paid off early). So ill be good for a while. Not to mention, the way i take care of my trucks, it should last a long time!

as long as I can keep the wheels turning, I'll hang onto it. Growing up we always had a third vehicle for some purpose. I wasn't too sure about it when I first picked it up (for nearly free), but I've really come to like it alot. With sites like these, I think it'll be around for a while.

lets see....already had mine for 11 years and 135k miles.....and it feels like it could easily go another 11 years without blinking an eye. I'll probably have it forever because this thing is Mr. Dependable. And even if i did ever have the money to get another vehicle, i'd just keep this ranger around and have 2.

as already said by others..
its paid for, does 99.99% of what I ask of it. gets "decent" gas mileage. and looks sharp.
as much as I would love a 3/4 ton diesel, I just cant justify the cost. Both purchase price and fuel. Untill I need more tow vehicle, Im driving this thing till the wheels fall off.
If it turns out I need more people space, im going to go find a $500 4 door and run that in to the ground.

i have 12 years with my chevy cheyenne it´s a reg cab 1998, and its in excelemt shape and it will be ok for many many years, so my ranger will stay forever with me, with an good mantanience, can survive many years. i want to buy a new car, maybe a 2010 fusion or a EDGE SUV to be a daily driver and keep the ranger and chevy

i plan to keep mine as long as i can. id like to put a 302 in it, but as long as the 4.0 keeps going, im not kicking it out. i would like to get a full-size bronco for towing the trailer, i only get 10 mpg with the ranger towing. but i plan on keeping the little truck. if the mahindra diesel pickup proves to be worthwhile, i'll replace it with one of those, but thats a good 10 years off.

i plan on keeping mine forever. as soon as my F-150 is done being built, i will retire my ranger as the daily driver and put it back on part time duty. i have too much blood, sweat and memorys in it to sell it to some random person. i owe nothing on it so i can afford to keep it around for a long time, its got less than 90,000 on it so it will last a long time too. hell it probably wont roll over 100,000 within the next 5 years lol. my kids will drive it.
