That is old news man. If you aren't smart enough to turn the engine off or shift into neutral then maybe you don't need to be taking up any more space on this planet.

It happened to me once in my Civic. The mats didn't have any hook or anything and one day it went up and held the gas to the floor. I was right behind a car in a small street so I pushed the brake hard with both feet and turned the key. Granted I was going slow and that Civic had no power but I was still able to avoid an accident.

Simple. You take it in and you get it fixed and it's not a problem anymore. People still bought Rangers even though they had a recall on the brake pressure switch that would fail and cause a fire and they still bought other Fords when there was a fire issue with the cruise control module. Ford vehicles with the early 5.4 engine still left the car lots even though that engine loved to spit out spark plugs.

Toyota's in my personal experience are very unsafe vehicles.

I am a firefighter and the roll overs that I have been on (that involved the individual dieing) have been in Toyota's (4RUnners).

I hate the interiors as well. They feel and seem cheap to me.

I like the looks though.
