Icon5 2002 XL remote locks and cruise both stopped working

One day they were both working, the next day nothing. I have checked the fuse and replaced it even though it was still good, it was old. One thing on my list is replace all the fuses because they are all probably original. Anyway, checked the #10 fuse slot and there is voltage there, that is the fuse I see that controls the cruise and the door locks. I tried bending one side of the fuse a little bit to see if it was the connection, maybe it had expanded and was not making good connection. Still nothing. does anyone have an idea about what might be wrong?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum

So the power door locks do not work using either door button or the Fob?
The "remote" word through me

Check fuse 11 as well

switched out both fuses with new fuses

yeah the fob is not working to unlock the doors, I have switched out both fuse 10 and 11. Still nothing for the cruise control or the locks.

What about with the door buttons to lock and unlock?

the buttons in the door do not function. I have replaced those already because I wanted new ones. Is there there a chance it might be related to the horn? I think I have a short in the horn. I would go off by itself occasionally and now it is not working either.

In 2002(2001 and up) the external door lock/unlock relays were removed and the CSM(central security module) was used to activate lock/unlock, via Fob or door switches
CSM was previously called RAP module

CSM also controls the Horn
2003 Diagram below will be same for 2002

Lets see if the CSM is online, check the fuses in diagram first, 2 are in the engine bay fuse box

This is the programming instructions for adding a Fob to CSM memory, it will tell you if CSM is online
Have your Fob or Fobs with you as this procedure ERASES ALL fobs in memory and you add back the ones you have, that way if you lose a Fob you can erase it

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.<<<<<if this doesn't happen the CSM is powered off or has failed

2. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote(Fob). Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote(Fob). Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

CSM is located above the glove box behind passenger side airbag, usually while plastic box
