Welcome to the forum

2000 should still have the Clutch switch plug under the dash, above clutch pedal area, it will have an extension harness plugged into it that ran down to the automatic transmission

You need to locate it and unplug the extension, then plug it into the clutch switch

Its a 6 pin plug, pins are in line, usually has 6 wires but may only have 4 wires

Up to, I think 2001/2, all Rangers were wired for manual trans, and if an automatic was used an extension cable was added to the clutch Neutral switch plug-in so the automatic's DTR sensor was used instead

I cannot find the plug for it at all, I followed the automatics dtr up to the main plug that separates the engine harness and body harness
