Help Help Mpg? Engine Trouble

My Engine Light Comes On And Stays On Sometimes. One Day It Will Be Off Then The Next Time I Start It It Will Come On And Be On For A Couple Days. I Took It To Get The Codes Read And It Said Cylinder 5 Misfire. I Had Just Replaced The Plugs And Wires. I Checked For Spark And All Are Getting Spark. What Should I Do? My Brother Said Maybe Replace The O2's. How Many Are There 2 Or 3?

It would not be the O2 senser, as they can not tell which cylinder is misfiring. If you never had this problem before you did your plugs and wires, I would check the connections AGAIN. Did you use Dielectric Grease at all the connections? I am guessing you have a wire slightly loose.

I Never Had This Problem Before. I Changed My Plugs And Wires A Year Ago In Vegas When I Lived There And It Never Did It Till A Few Months Ago Here In Ohio. So I Changed The Plugs And I Did Use Grease. I Take The Wires Off The Plugs And Reapply And Put Them Back On And Also The Coil Pack. Dont Know What To Do.

Look at that #5 Cyl spark plug wire at night, with the engine running.

Wiggle it around and spray it lightly with water.

You are looking for arcing. It's easy to see in the dark.
