My truck had the little "fog light mod" done to it when I got it, where one of the posts on the fog light relay is bent over so that the fogs work when the highbeams are on. I was under the impression that this was the reason they flashed when I lock the truck with my remote, so I replaced the relay with a new one and didn't bend the post on it. It still flashes the fogs when I lock the truck, which I don't want it to do since I have HID fogs now. Does everyones truck do this?

turn off the fog light switch. If it is off, when you lock the truck, it will not flash.

 

Yeah I know if you unclick the switch it won't flash, but I was under the impression that if you didn't have the "mod" done then it wouldn't flash. I guess it doesn't matter

what blade on the relay do u bend over 2 get the driving lights 2 stay on with the highbeams? never herd of that 1, i had a conversion kit on mine from ebay but it quit working

Mine used to flash when I hit the remote but recently they haven't been doing it. I'm not sure why.

the having the click and unclick the button everytime is kinda annoying, I wish there was a way around it

 

I'm kinda glad mine don't do it anymore though. I was afraid it was kinda bad for my HID's.

 

they flash because they are tied into the parking lights. if the fog light switch is in the "on" position and you lock the doors ALL of the exterior factory lights except the headlights flash, including the license plate lamps.
