Icon9 L and R blinker light up but do not flash....

Blinkers worked until recently. Haven't made any changes in the wiring, it just started happening one day. The brake light indicator on the dash lights up when I hit the brake pedal but the tail and brake lights are working. Maybe the two problems are related? I'm a dummy when it comes to even the simplest wiring problems.

It is most likely the flasher has gone bad, there are two of them though, both should be in or near the cab fuse box.

Turn on the Hazard Flashers, they should work if bulbs do, you will hear the clicking of that flasher under the dash, find it, you should be able to put a finger on it and feel it clicking.
Other flasher will look the same and be near by, the broken one.

Brake lights run thru that flasher's wiring, well both really, that allows the turn signal to over ride the brake light on that side

Thank you, RonD, for that info. I will check that today. Question, tho; would that make the brake light indicator come on even though both brake/tail lights work?

Yes, it could be normal if a problem in the circuit is detected.
Could also be the brake fluid is low and just a coincidence, but it would be odd at same time as turn signal.
