The one in the cabin is a fuse box. The one under the hood is a power distribution box. The former has 10-, 15- and 20-amp fuses, the latter has 30-,40- and 50-amp fuses.

You have a 2004 or later Ranger/Mazda B-series

But all vehicles since the the mid-1980's have two fuse boxes, one in the engine bay and one in the passenger area, totally normal

Its done so there is less 12volt wiring exposure, and just less wires in general so saves money

Engine fuse boxes are usually just for engine trans fuses, and maybe wipers and blower, and horn, also larger fuses that feed ignition switch and cab fuse box, so 1 wired feeds many fuses in cab box

Cab fuses are for lights and amenities, i.e. power windows, security, power locks, lots of electrics in a cab these days

One fuse box would require alot more wires thru the firewall
