2005 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 4.0, Automatic.

Im having an issue where sometime the truck will start fine and other times it struggles and if it’s a time that it struggle, when it eventually starts it has a very rough idle. When it starts fine to begin with there is no issue. I can also try and start it one minute and it is very rough cranking, and I go back 30 mins later and it fires up like nothing. Brand new battery was installed a week ago. I am suspecting cables or a starter but I don’t know for sure and am looking for tips or advice.
