Fixing my headliner Mistake

As many of you already know my OHC install didn't go as planned and i cut the hole WAY to big. I got a new headliner but it was for a 4 door lol. So i pulled my screwed up one PITA to get out and decided to fill the hole with card board and recover it. I have never done anything like this. I used some 3M adhesive and some basic EcoFelt made from recycled bottles $4.99 a yard. I went right over the stock material. This job was super easy, besides taking it out of the truck. here are some pictures of the process

Not bad! I would've squared up the sides of the hole, though, since it can still be seen through the fabric. Are you going to get another headliner and do the overhead console thing still?

No more hole.
if you get there again, measure twice or three times cut once.

Good job, look almost factory.

How’s this coming along ?

Is that back section going to make any difference ?

What year did the darker one come out of ?

To me the darker one will look better but I like the dark interior.

The darker one is much different as the curves are for the 4th doors. The headliner i did is already in the truck

i didn't feel like bending it t get it in again so i pulled the rear glass

broke this pin but it's replaced now. how it fits...Its a much tighter fit with all the trim installed

Oh my God, you did a beautiful job! I like your approach, rather than buying a brand new headliner from Ford or auto parts, take it out, peel off the fabric spray some adhesive and lay down some new fabric across the whole thing. It’s beautiful. Way better than spending $909 on a new headliner.
Thanks very much for the tip!
(By the way, where do you get ecofelt!?”
