Well I finally made my reservations at Yogi Bear for the trip. I have site 180A (I think) in the back corner from June 3rd through the 6th. Anyone else who wants to camp there as a group tell them you are with the Ranger Forums group and they will put you in the back corner as well.

do you mean 81A? thats the back corner spot.

Only 3 nights? You know they have the stay 3 nights get the 4th night free thing again, right?

I will be there the 2nd-7th depending on who else is willing to go out there a couple days earlier. I would still like to check out the trails in the national forest that is about an hour north of there.

It might be 81A thats why I was guessing. I am getting the free night as sunday night so I can leave later this time. Normally we never wheel on sunday, but I might try to this year. And i'm not going any earlier because I can't get the time off of work. New job does not have any vacation time.

Haha you're going to take the ferry! :P I'll be going this year, possibly with a +1. I think I'll stay where I did last time, right across from the campground pretty much.

andy, don't they have height restrictions on those things?

i just booked my hotel room. coming up sat night june 5. if we get up there early enough we'll meet up with the rest of you.

i'm staying at the comfort inn on 7576 S Pere Marquette Hwy. it's 20-25 mins north of the park. i tried to get a room at the comfort in hart but i should have booked it earlier. last week there was 2 rooms left and i didn't do it. they are both about 20-30 mins away.

off topic question but still on topic since you gus are there already. if i go from silver lake to chitown, are there tolls, when i looked the only one i saw was I90 and i can take I94 to avoid that one. i'm going almost downtown and staying at the HoJo on lasalle street.

once you get into Michigan there are no toll roads from Detroit to Silver Lake.

You are probably going to take 96 to 31 at least i probably would.

thanks. i was gonna do that. maybe 94 to visit some family then i could hop up to 96 near them. the only toll in IL is 90 i'm guessing?

as for getting a room or site, if i was you, i'd do it quick. last week when i looked the one hotel had 5 or 6 and now there is nothing. the place i got had 2 that were nonsmoking, king. now 1, and 2 that were double beds available.
