Hello! Just picked up Ranger #6
Just picked it up today. Was glad to find a low mileage (55,000) truck with a clean body. Has a couple things that need attention: shifter feels rubbery, tripped the neutral safety switch once. Have to check the cable. Fog lights inop. Has a tire out of balance. Fairly minor stuff. Glad to join the forum!

Nice Ranger
Google: Ford Ranger column shifter
Some short videos about what to check.
Effected many ford trucks with column shifters not just Rangers, can be as simple as 2 loose screws or a broken shift tube(have to pull apart steering column)
And this also would effect Neutral switch since it is on the transmission, so sloppy shifter doesn't get switch all the way closed when in Park, and you get a no crank for starter motor
