Alright kinda pissed off this weekend. This past weekend i decided to drag out the other t-case i had to figure out what it was and clean it up. I found out I have a Np 205 and decided thats what I want in my truck. Then I realized I have a 2wd version of the Np435....... they dont go together.. Is there an adapter that will work for this or should i plan on finding a 4wd Np435?

 

I think i have everything worked out. I found a 4wd np435 with a 302 engine for 200$. Anyways this weekend i took the axles to a garage to get the bearings and seals replaced along with getting the gears spaced right. Also i cleaned up and painted the NP205. I plan on twin sticking it to get more options with it.

Got my transmission all cleaned up and painted and got my front suspension mooched up.

Ya slowly but surely... I was throwing around the idea of moving the axle forward more. Does that come with good enough advantages to go through the trouble of doing this or you think I should just keep it in stock location?

 

Things have been going very slowly dew to not being able to find someone that can set up my gears for the right price. But here's the update. I am half way through converting my np205 into a twin stick. I have the shift rail modified and am working on the linkage and shift handle set up. Meanwhile I have made a front diff. rock guard and have painted a few more things that will be going in my truck. Also i am working on making some extensions to add on to my frame to set the coil buckets out wider in order to match the full width dana 44.

 

Sorry for the far to long of break in this forum but i am finally back and able to work on my truck and get something done. here is the current progress.

Not since last weekend. I got the center section of my frame boxed in. My coil bucket mounts are welded on and my front axle is half connected. Hopefully next time I go home i will have a skid plate and will be able to mount my t-case. Also I have a dumby block in with my engine mounts made. Progress is slow cause I am not able to get home every weekend. Sorry.

 

I forgot about this thread. Why does the front crossmember of those frames have that piece that slopes towards the driver side?

 

I really dont know... but when I drained my radiator it helped cause it drained onto it and funneled right into my bucket lol. Ford made their frames weird. Not straight at all. Makes it hard to box the frame..

I feel that my T-case is hanging low, at least lower then what I want to make my skid plate.
