Well thanks to Chad this truck might turn into a donor for a better 90 B2 I am getting tomorrow. Sucks it will get parted and scrapped most likely but I only want the c5 and the 1350 out of it so I can do my efi 5.0,c4/c5,manual 1350 swap into the 90 B2. I still have the Explorer 8.8 with 31 spline axles out back to put in the new one. The 90 has the D35 and a Duff stg3 already so that just saved me a ton of time and money.

Pix to come later.

Well I have had the 90 for a week now and I have been busy busy.

So far I couldnt be happier with the truck or the money I have in it. Found out the flywheel wasnt broken and it was just stripped out bolt holes in the bell for the starter. Got that fixed and it runs like a champ...feels like a big block on nitrous compaired to my 84 with the 2.8!
So far I have fixed the starter, replaced the rear shackles with the Belltech shackles, tightened front wheel bearings, cleaned and degreased everything, fixed leaky valvecovers, repaired rust hole in gas tank{temp fix},polished the headlites, removed the front airdam, washed the K&N,rerouted the tailpipe, changed all fluids and got it legal to drive. Love it!

I am replacing all the brakes next and I picked up some new front rubber brake hoses that are twice as long as the stock ones. Then I will finish the nice rock sliders that came with it and get started on my winch bumper.

Here are a few ****ty cell phone pix from earlier.

I swapped my good tires on a few days ago cuz the Claws were shot. These are 16x8 with 265/75-16 Maxxis Buckshots. Rides great now!

I got the inside spotless and put new speakers and radio in it.

And I got the Belltech shackles on.

Looking good Brian. It has come a long way in the short time you have had it, makes me wish I had the room to of gone through the truck myself.

What is the backing spacing on the wheels? make sure they have at least 3.75 or they will rub the lower shock mounts at full lock.

Chad, they do rub at full lock. I ordered some spacers for now but I think I will put the steel rims back on when I can get some 33" Trxus M/T or some Maxxis Creepy Crawlers.

I replaced the outside door handles, greased window tracks and bought some lights to mount to a light bar I am making for the roof rack. CB install half done also.Still havent got the 4wd working yet tho.Tomorrow I will figure that out.

I joined up on BroncoII.org and have been reading up on the 4.0 swap too. I think I am leaning towards that over my 5.0 swap. The 4.0 looks so much easier to do.The 5.0 swap pretty much has to have a bodylift which I dont want to do.I dont really want the truck any taller than it is now.Plus I can work over a 4.0 to almost match the power of my stock 5.0 with half the hassels during the swap.

Guy in Findley Oh emailed me earlier about a 94 Exploder he has with a blown trans but mint everything else for 500.00 if I come pick it up......Might have my donor plus extras to sell off it to make some cash back!

New b2 looks great! Reminds me of mine, ruff on the outside, nice on the inside.

Go for the 4.0 swap. Even with my valve tappin 2.9 I can still spin all 4 tires in the mud.

They look like they didn't have the right back spacing thats why I wanted to warn you.

As for the 5.0 swap you do not need to do a body lift to get it to fit, but you do need to cut into the heater box.

Get that 4wd fixed before it snow any more.

yeah 28 spine though. You also still have to cut and move the spring perches.

I would sell that one. I have a 31 spline disc brake 8.8 for the Bronco2. I will never have drum brakes on anything I off road in anymore!

Chad, had a weird issue Monday and was wondering if you or your dad ever had this happen. Sunday nite I took it shopping and parked in in the driveway when I got home.Monday morning I got up to leave and it wouldnt start. It just turned over like there was no spark or fuel. I jumped in my 84 B2 and didnt get to look at it until yesterday morning, but when I tried the key it fired rite up and has been fine since. So now Im nervous it could do it again and leave me stranded!

Anyway, I have the sliders all sanded and painted so I should be able to weld em on later today.I am pulling the a/c off and the front bumper for some mods also. I will have pix later tonite.

I really have no idea. the only problem we ever had was if you didn't put into park all the way it would not start. If you need anything give me a call, you still have my #.

Well it ahasnt done it again so I will just have to wait til it acts up to find out what it was.

I got the cruise and all the a/c crap ripped out last nite, there was so much crap blocking the radiator I dont know how it hasnt overheated! I repinned the headlight plugs to work with the brighter 9007 blubs and modified the air box so it wont suck water as easy anymore by blocking off the stock hole in the bottom and made a new one at the rear of the air box.I found 3 major vaccum leaks from broken rubber lines also. Then I ran a can of Seafoam thru it.

Today is bumper and slider day.

Brian I am sorry I wish I could point you the right direction. Did you happen to take all of the remote start wiring? I wish you were closer so I could give you a hand.
