finished my first fab project yesterday, built a spare tire carrier to get some room back in my bed.

heres what it looks like from the front, just need to move my plate now and make a mount for my gas cans.

from the side

pin comes out and folds out of the way.

and can still open the tail gate.

Here's some build pics getting better at welding.

mocking up everything

Thanks, I thought about doing the swing out version but this gives me the option to drop the tire down and still drive with the tail gate down if I had too.

leaves the truck as a truck!

my plan is to build a rear bumper that will better utilize this fold down hitch.

got my gas cans mounted up tonight, wasn't planning to mount them to the tire carrier but they fit perfectly. takes up the gap nicely I think!

Hey, nice truck, I have been "stalking" your posts for a long time now. I have to say your vehicle is my favorite on this website. Good work man. Keep it up.

For the urethane bushings did you go with the 3/4 or 5/8? I'm guessing for the install I need them?

The new RF picture viewer no longer allows you to click on photobucket video links when posted like that. Only thing I would change on the truck would be a wider stance, it looks goofy being so narrow.

Ya I'd like to go wider but it would limit the truck and tear up my fenders. I get another 2in of tire stuffed into the wheel wells with the stock offset wheels. Function before form.

Hey Curtis good to hear from ya! The gibson on is still under the truck just cut down I front of the axle with a turn down. That gibson was actually one of my first mods to this truck.

Josh, the bushing size just has to match the eyelet size of the shock.

Yeah, looks great. I haven't been on in a long time, but I kinda made a half-*** thread on my 02 Ranger here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/vehicl...3/#post2041999

Looks a little different since you last saw it. I don't think I had many mods going on yet. I'm coming back to the Forum world because I'm going to start a diesel ranger thread soon. 1994 XLT 4x4.

Where were you guys wheelin` in post #110?
