Sweet. Get after it!
Just did some piddly stuff today, cut off one remaining factory bracket that was going to be in the way this time around. After that I jacked the axle up to full bump to check the clearances on everything, so far so good but I need to get some bumpstops I think. In the past I let my shocks be the bumps and limits but not sure that's a good idea with coilovers. Also finished welding the track bar mount now that the coil mount was out of the way. Tacked the new hoop in just for a look, not the final position and I still need to plate the frame where it'll mount and gusset the tabs.
I have a feeling the track bar mount and the new hoop are going to be in each other's way but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Full bump:

Hoop in for a look.

what length coilovers did you go with?
not that this info will help you much because I have an extra cab and heavy front bumper... but
my spring rates are 350/250 and that set me at about 50/50 stroke on my 12's but after a couple years
they have settled in at 4 inches of up travel and 8 inches of down travel
I really like my ride height better now.. I took the rear back down now its at same height as when I had the rcd lift kit on

I'm hoping for something close to that. I told King I wanted 5" of shaft exposed at ride height but 4 would be good with me too. They're 12" travel.
Im running 250/350 on my 14" shocks up front and I think I have 4" showing. Rides a little stiff IMO though.
Oh and for the record I don't have bump stops or limit straps and it works just fine. I haven't rebuilt anything, ive jumped it, slammed it off stuff no issues.

I'd like to make an engine hoop as well as use the supports that came with the hoops. I don't have a bender though and I don't know anyone locally that could make one so I'll just have to see what I'm facing when the hoops are in the final position. I've looked at some kits but I doubt any would work for me out of the box.

Just got tracking for the coilovers, they'll be here Friday!
I may take you up on that.
Yeah, I'm not sure if he ever got around to an engine hoop or not, maybe he'll chime in. I know he used the hoop to frame supports.

Got the passenger hoop gusseted up and installed for real today. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the drivers side tomorrow. I've gotta make some gussets for the lower tabs and then maybe I can get this thing on it's own weight again. Sorry Koyn I kinda copied you on the hoop tab gusset.
