The ABS system was something I wasn't worried about. I didn't really want it to work. Same with the airbag system, which doesn't work anymore either.
I dont know of anyone with abs working on a ranger that was SAS'd
to be honest, I could care less if I had abs or not with sas. I would just get tired of looking at the light on the dash. I've found some info as to options if I want to press on with my project, however, it doesn't look very feasible considering I'd like it to still be a DD. My problem is that (have checked the passenger side) my speed sensor is a wheel speed sensor that i have on the front left hub. I read up on coloradok5.com about installing a speed sensor into a np205 from i think a 241 with some work. If down the road I end up with another dd and I mess with this and see if it will run semi right without the sensor being hooked up, I'll go all out. Anyone have any ideas about getting around this? I'm not sure if there is a way to adapt the speed sensor to say...a np205 with an electric

Can't believe it's been five and a half years since I did my SAS, WOW! And I've been saying I was going to fix the bunk *** steering ever since. I finally talked myself into making the investment. I bought the 7/8" steering and panhard kit from ruffstuff and also got some new jack stands so I won't have to worry about sketchy wood blocks.
I'm gonna go OTK on the steering with heims and 1.5" .25" wall dom. Will also be raising the panhard bar to match. At the same time I'll be dropping the front ride height by 2". I'll have to relocate the sway bar brackets as well.

Now I've got everything but the time!

I'm not really looking forward to it to be honest, I have no desire to work on this thing anymore. It still doesn't run right and all it does is sit. I'm gonna get this steering fixed, hopefully fix the rough running, and most likely throw a for sale sign in it.

I don't really wanna sell it but I'm afraid if I don't it'll just sit around and I'll be stuck in the same situation again.
Maybe we can get together and wheel sometime after I fix it? I haven't wheeled it since Koyn moved away.

I've been there with my F150 plenty of times. It just sits, and I don't do anything with it. But I've had it since I was 15, and it was my first truck, so I can't bring myself to get rid of it. I'll get her fixed some day.

No progress yet. I'm working on chasing down some engine issues before I start on the steering. I think I'm getting close so maybe I can start pretty soon.

I want to get out and about. I want to at least trailer it to pecos and run it a little but I don't know if I will find the time. Then with baby #2 coming in July my chances are getting dimmer lol
