UPDATE

Day 8

No updates for day 8, took the day off to sleep and work on the ball joints, which I couldnt do here.

UPDATE

Day 9

BIG day today, got the Ball Joints pressed in, cost me 10 bucks so I cant complain. Got the Arms on the truck! bump stops in, break lines on, and crossmember brace on.

Axles will be here tomorrow, so with any luck I should have it back on 4wheels by the end of tomorrow night! Wish me luck!

Only one photo today, but I think it sums it up quite well.

jason when you get it aligned pay for the lifetime alignment!!! i did mine at firestone and it will be worth the money. if you come by the firestone by my work, city of industry, then tell them that costco(where i work) sent you. i think i got my lifetime for like $140 and it is good at any firestone location

Longer, and High Angle inner CV, not sure they are any stronger than stock though.

Had a 3-Day Weekend = More Axle Work Complete (truss, skid, fill, drain, ect)

So with the 3 day weekend this past weekend (I know, my work lets us off for some obscure holidays, this is the fist time I have ever had MLK off.. anyway) I was able to get some real work done to the 9" that I got.

Added the Truss/Back Brace, coated with POR-15 so it doesn't rust.. ever. Also added a Skid Plate w/ramp (whatever that means..lol) and a Fill/Inspection plug.

I still have a drain plug (they accidentaly gave it to me, well sold it to me) to install if I choose, and I need a new breather, and I am still waiting on all the bracketry/hood to come back from the laser cutter. Should be done today but the guys at the shop doing it are leaving for a race this weekend so I won't get it till next week.

Anyway, on to the pictures!

Just a reminder, how it looked when we pulled it (except for the brake bracket.. I added that)

I forgot to take shots during the build up of the Truss, it took a lot of fitting, but I knew that going into it. I am pleased with the results.

Adding on the Skid Plate and Fill/Inspection Plug (drain plug is in the pic too.. still not sure of its fate)

Rocks Beware :lol

Fill Plug

That is all. Let me know what you think!

There's a 12 step program for this you know.
