Yea I can't wait to be able to take this stupid thing out for some testing and shock tuning either... it pains me to see it sitting in the driveway... oh well... it will be worth it eventually.

Like Trent alluded to, here is the plan for the cage. I've been so hammered at work the last couple weeks I haven't had time to work on it beyond this, but this weekend it's on!

I know its been said before, but painters tape will not hold. I'd definitely use something a little stronger than painters tape.

Yea, the blue tape is just for mock-up, for the final build I'm going to use either gray duct tape or black gaffers tape, I just need to check and see which is SCORE legal.

Oh, and sorry for not calling you back... I refer back to my completely slammed comment... it's been a wild two weeks.

Use the colored duct tape, it's so much cooler.

If you use painter's tape for your cage, make sure you get the wide 2" tape... it will hold up better =P

Im really interested in the fuel cell setup, mainly the pump and line setup. I was looking to keep my stock fuel pump and run a cell mainly cause I didnt know where to start with reduing the fuel system. You wouldnt happen to have a parts list, maybe some prices?

How exactly are you tying the cage to the frame? Are you going to go with a floor mounted type sandwich type and then just reinforce the bottom with bigger plates and tie those to the frame?

Or are you going to actual drill holes and tie the cage straight to the frame?

Boy was I wrong about that one... lol... anyway...

Finally, noticeable progress is being made. There's not much to say really, the tube is all 1 3/4" .120 DOM, the same as I built the rear half out of. Besides that keep checking back for updates as we draw closer to getting this thing back out into the dirt! (and no, that's not the final mounting point for that piece, it's just sitting there, close to where it's going)

Any questions? lol

Thanks!

I'm gonna use sheet metal and weld it back shut. I just need it open so I can work on the frame below.

If I'm reading what you're saying right then yes, that is why that area next to the third break light is open.

Nope, not quite on the same page... third break light is going nowhere. Down tubes are going to pop out through the corners where the material was removed.

When finished, will you have the b-hoop flush (or closer to) the roof of the cab? Looks a little low now, but you said it was just propped up in there.

That's actually the C-Pillar, and yea, it will be right up at the roof line. I couldn't set it up that high or it would fall over... lol... it's not mounted to anything, just chilling in there...

Does that actually work? I've tried scotch bright/wd-40 and it doesn't work. All I've found that really works is 100grit sand paper/wd-40. Bah, it adds character... lol
