Started the De-chrome process on the F150

I started this morning to get rid of the chrome on the F150, the steps will be going also sometime soon, but I have to go the work soon. The Decals will be removed this summer. The taillights covers where probably the worst to remove out of all of them.

Looks good. Are you leaving the chrome on the handles and on the tailgate handle?

Good!
I'm so sick of seeing everyone with loads of "stick on chrome" everywhere. Looks cheap and tacky.
I want to pull my badges off but I'm not sure what to do. I thought about painting all of the F150 badges white, or flat black with white lettering or something. Some of the black lettering is coming off already anyway.
Also be careful with the big ford logo's. One my my faucets is broken from the freeze, so I took the truck to the carwash, and even the weak pressure washer deal broke the plastic cover over the rear logo.

Well removed the steps today:

The best tool ever made, probably took half the time to remove the bolts

Remove Graphics, door handle chrome, stickers, dealer sticker on tailgate

Body color the emblems

Tinted windows

35's

new wheels black alum

Color matched rear bumper and front with foglights

"Harley headlights(black)"

that would be good

Looks way better without the chrome stickies all up on it

I'm with everyone else, these emblems are junk, the black lettering on the fender badges is flaking off on my 06

But whatever, just gives me an excuse to mod it somehow

Yes the decals and chrome all will be coming off....

ummm I don't think the check book will allow me. Im not much for putting alot of money into vehicles. But I will be getting '09 emblems, tint the front windows, and black out the headlights. Maybe Bilestiens up front. As for tires not for another 40 or 50 thousand miles or so. As for wheels probably not either. New bumpers the junk yards around here don't have anything newer than a 1987 I think or so it seems.
