Hi y'all I have a 94 with a 2.3L. I have replaced fuel pump and filter, both coil packs, plugs and wires, and ICM. I have cleaned the MAF, throttle body, and AICV.
I'm not getting any spark at the pack or plug on the intake side #3. It idles fine besides the miss, 1st is about 90% on power, 2nd is about 80, 3rd is 60ish, 4th is about 25 and doesn't gain any speed. I understand this has to do with only running on 3 cylinders. What am I missing that would keep me from having spark????
I'm into this thing to much to just trash it, plus I'm kinda fond of the old girl. She is also my DD.
Any help would be appreciated.

Pull the cover off the timing belt and check if the belt jumped a tooth.
A Haynes manual will show how to check the timing marks.

 

Forgot to mention I've checked timing and all marks look good.

 

have you checked any of the sensors in the ignition system (maybe the crankshaft position sensor?) the crankshaft sensor's located on the same pulley that drives the oil pump. this is on the timing belt. check to make sure this is on it's timing mark.

 

did you check the connection between the ICU and the coil packs?

I didn't check those connections. How should I go about that, or do you mean just make sure they are plugged in?

 

The ignition side plugs are just for emissions anyways, they fire as exhaust is leaving. If you swap plug wires 1 and 4, 2 and 3 on the intake side coil pack you will have a dual spark. This actually helped my truck run better. You can test this theory by unplugging the intake coil and the truck still runs, but unplug the exhaust coil and it will not run.
