not quite so bad. once you lower the rear a little more it will look better. take off the overload spring? wouldn't that help a bit
|
where is this overload spring located? lol
|
seriously? it's the flat bottom leaf spring. My friend removed it from his s-10. Didn't seem that noticeable but if you mono leaf it and remove the other leafs and just leave the fattest one that has the bolts goin through it, aso fairly easy and more sensible would be to put the leaves under your axle rather than on top, just gotta weld the perches onto bottom of axle. that would give you more than enough drop I'm sure.

i dont even recall you mentioning that lol |
yeah, i thought the shackle flip would be enough. by the time we were done, i didnt even think about it. too tired lol
|
with redoing the coils today my right tire is barely off camber and my left one is still ****ed.. i think it has to do with my blown shock?
and it doesnt make that insane ratting noise anymore...oh yea i managed to decimate the threads in one of my lug nuts from driving around like that yesteday  |

note to keith and self.. putting the bed back on is easier than keith made it out to be...
"man i hate taking beds off .. **** is so hard to realign" took us all of 10 mins to get all 6 of those bolts in and the bed lined up? LOL |
practice makes perfect.
took me 2.5 days to do my superlift. I could do it one day now... |
yeah no **** about the bed...my bad lol
|
your side that is off so much might be because of that messed up thread not holding wheel on tight, or just because the I-beams are unequal lengths and one is always off more than the other. you should be able to get it aligned pretty easily now. Shocks won't make hardly any difference while trucks sittin still on flat ground. You will get it right and have learned from the experience. If you don't haul heavy loads might as well just remove overload spring and do SUA. with the O.L. spring off it looks a little better underneath there too.
|
i still havent found those 3 filler neck bolts...

no. There are other differences. Guarantee you you can take your shock off the other side and its still gonna be off more. I dont know how steering changes with lowering if its similar to lifting but maybe you need opposite off a drop pitman arm, a raised arm? ha jk. maybe it's just because the length of tie rods are so much different for driver side compared to the passenger. suck in the side that is off a lot and you will fix a lot of that camber yourself. It's just those two bolts holding the lil sleeve over tie rod you loosen and turn with channel grips. Eyeball it. Should get you close enough to not be totally F*ed until alignment.
|
ill do that tomarrow after school then.. i assume ill need to jack it up and have the beam hanging loose to be able to move said tie rod?
|
oh ****.. could it be because of when i went to get it alligned all they did was change the toe? and not the negative camber?
|
if they messed with it then that is why. toe will effect your camber a lot. have most or all the weight of truck up off the wheel for which tie rod you are adjusting. turning it one way will bring it in and the opposite way will push tire out. go whatever way makes it look straighter from the front. get the other wheel straight ahead first tho and then adjust til they are equal. just go with what you feel lol
|
how do i change the toe.. i want this **** fixed with out having to pay those retards another 60 for nothing

How to Adjust Your Car's Wheel Alignment | eHow.com
Ford Ranger/Bronco II Alignment search buddy. like i said just loosen two bolts on each end and you can twist them until in desired position. then tighten back up. the end. 60 is just a little high. Try shopping around more, should be able to find someone for 50 |
lol 60 was with a coupon...
and i didnt know the tie rod changed the toe so i didnt search on it, i was just going to do the tierod like you said |
guess its not too bad. i find coupons for 45 but usually for a truck it's 54 cheapest i found. just do tie rods for right now and you will get decent and should be able to drive straight line and not worry about alignment for a while if you do it good enough. the e-how isn't that great and is a little too detailed in some aspects. don't use a knife to cut your wheel either, use some sort of marking paint or a pen, if you even wanna get that technical. Like I said if you are far off, you can just eyeball it for a quick improvement if your lazy like me. Pulled over on the side of the street once cuz my buddies truck looked like wheel was gonna fall flat when he turned haha. we fixed it in few minutes.
