cool... ive been on rps this whole time i didnt realize you responded haha

I hate to say it, but FAIL. Adjusting your toe with the tie rods will NOT correct camber, or even affect the camber at all.
|
hmm thats funny. It seemed to help mine out a lot. And alignment shop told me that the toe being so far off is making the camber really bad when going into reverse, cuz of how I beams are set up it's kind of a flaw. I know adjusting toe is not the solution or how to adjust camber/caster but it does seem to make it not so bad when turning and backing up at least. either way he has to adjust that though with his truck being lower does he not?

and using drop shocks in the back wont drop you any lower

i bought them shocks off my buddy for 40 bux and he threw in a flipkit for the hell of it. theyre groundforce drop shocks

honestly.. since u already have the flip kit... just spend the $300 or whatever on drop beams and call it a day. not to mention there will be no change in suspension travel for the front and ur ride will be same as stock up front compared to cutting the coils.
|
lol i dont have 375 for drop beams.. maybe after graduation in 2 weeks when i get an assload of money from my family :biggthump
|
wait the 2 weeks? small price to pay in my book
|
Will in need longer u bolts for that flip kit?

This thread is 6 pages and no one has said anything about cutting coils being a hack? Wow, I'm surprised.
You need to wait until you get money and then do it once, the right way. Cutting coils is for broke Honda ricers. |

he who saves pictures of snuffy crushing a poor gen 3 to his computer has no room to say anything to me ever :biggthump

You don't need longer U-bolts. I reused my stockers back when I had a flip kit.
|
u dont need longer u bolts, but u do need drop beams lol :biggthump

im a week late on this, but no you didnt have full functionality... you had a freakin FIBERGLASS HARD TONNEAU, probably couldnt tow a trailer, and if i remember right your frame cracked.
I still used it as a truck when I had to, just because you have a hard cover doesnt mean you cant put stuff in the bed. you can ask the ohio guys I took that truck places at the meet off road that are alot more rougher than any pics you post on your trips. |

so dropping the truck, and not notching caused the frame to crack, had the truck been dropped less or left stock, wouldnt have cracked ... seems like the drop is to blame to me
the thread starter doesnt have much money or expertise, notching the frame isnt exactly a novice task and i never said anything about off roading, i dont try and compete with anyone in that regard, especially after last week my girl and i went to our "spot" and the hill i normally spin a lot up and have to take a few tries at this one turn, her freakin CIVIC did no problem but if you do really want to go that route, beat this Attachment 154267 Attachment 154268 Attachment 154269 Attachment 154270 I have nothing against lowered trucks and still might do mine one day, but like it or not you do lose some functionality. |
lol
honestly you dont lose anything, if you need to haul anything throw a pair of airshocks on and your good to go. I drove through 20 inches of snow in my truck with clearance of 5 inches of so from the frame, functioned just as good as stock. |
