If I'm wrong, which I possibly am...I'm sorry.

But what I do to get mine in is use a ratchet strap to get it close...then take the hammer and pound them in...works every time!

well, if it doesn't look like it's going to fit (i.e. trying to fit a quarter over a hole made for a penny...then your SOL, but if it's really close, just take the BFH and wack it a few times...don't be scared, just put a block of wood over it. It will go right in (or it should )

It looks like they sent you the wrong part?

8971F is definetly the 2wd coil spring one (matt used to have a 2wd coil spring...I did his ball joints with him...)

i think you are right. he needs DS one-piece UCA 98~2006:
(MOOG K8708T):

I thought the xlt arms balljoint shafts were 1/16th of an inch smaller than the edge ones...meaning if it was the xlt one it would actually be loose in the spindle? I could be wrong too though. A big hammer did the trick on mine, but that wasn't with fabtech spindles so I dunno. Hope you get it fixed up. If you don't have it done tomorrow I'll see what numbers are printed on my arms.

I hope it's the right one! Your alignment may be way off if it's the wrong arm.

Chances are though if you ordered the correct part number then you got the correct part though!

i kinda had the same problem on my passenger side Superlift spindle. The stock ball joint did NOT wanna go in the slot of the spindle. Ugh what a pain in the *** that was. I feel for you.

Good to hear! I also did the "loosen the bolts" trick. Works well!
